Israel won’t hit Iran’s main gasfield again after Trump call, says Netanyahu

Prime Minister Netanyahu defended Israel’s independent strike on Iran’s primary gas field while agreeing to a temporary pause on energy infrastructure targets following a direct request from President Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on Thursday that Israel “acted alone” in its recent strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, while concurrently announcing that he would suspend further attacks on the facility at the request of U.S. President Donald Trump. During a televised news conference in Jerusalem, Netanyahu dismissed allegations that he had maneuvered the United States into the broader conflict, calling such claims a “ridiculous” canard and asserting that “the world owes a debt of deep indebtedness” to Trump for his leadership in neutralizing Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.

Despite reports of a growing rift with Washington following the energy sector escalation, the Prime Minister maintained that the war could end “faster than people think” as the Iranian regime “decimates” under the weight of Operation Midnight Hammer. Netanyahu also issued a stern warning against Iranian threats to the Strait of Hormuz, labeling the leadership in Tehran a “death cult” and vowing that any attempt to close the vital maritime route would fail.
