Amazon is reportedly exploring a reboot of The Apprentice on Prime Video, with internal discussions underway about installing Donald Trump Jr. as the new host of the iconic reality show.
Amazon is weighing a reboot of The Apprentice on Prime Video, with Donald Trump Jr. being considered as a potential host, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The discussions remain at an early stage, with no formal outreach made to the Trump family. A source close to Don Jr. confirmed he only learned of the possibility after reading the report himself, telling the Post: “No one from Amazon has reached out to him about this.”
The original show, which premiered in 2004, drew up to 20 million viewers and helped cement Donald Trump’s image as a commanding business authority.
The reported reboot follows Amazon’s $40 million investment in a Melania Trump documentary, signalling the company’s increasingly warm relationship with the Trump family.
