Woman jailed for life for murdering film director sister and stealing her gold Rolex

Nancy Pexton, 70, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 22 years for stabbing her film director sister Jennifer Abbott to death in her Camden flat and stealing her diamond-encrusted gold Rolex.

A 70-year-old woman has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 22 years after murdering her documentary filmmaker sister out of jealousy and stealing her diamond-encrusted gold Rolex watch.

Nancy Pexton was convicted at the Old Bailey of killing Jennifer Abbott, 69, at her Camden flat on June 10 last year. Pexton stabbed her sister 10 times, covered her mouth with adhesive tape, and left her body undiscovered for three days. Abbott’s Corgi, Prince, was found alive in the bathroom.

Prosecutor William Boyce KC described Pexton as “not only an emotional killer but also a provable liar,” adding: “Jennifer just ate into her for all sorts of reasons — she had what Pexton did not.”

The stolen Rolex was later found in Pexton’s bag upon her arrest.
