The Pentagon on Friday released 162 declassified files related to UFOs and unidentified anomalous phenomena following a transparency order issued by President Donald Trump in February. The files include videos, intelligence reports and FBI case records spanning nearly 80 years.
The Pentagon said, âThe American people can now access the federal governmentâs declassified UAP files instantly.â Released footage reportedly showed unexplained objects over Greece, Iraq, Japan, the UAE and the United States.
Among the documents were Apollo 17 transcripts describing âvery bright particles or fragmentsâ near the spacecraft during the 1972 lunar mission. However, former All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office director Sean Kirkpatrick said there was no evidence proving alien technology existed.
Officials said the disclosures were part of a wider effort to improve public transparency around unexplained aerial incidents.
