A reported one-page memorandum of understanding to end the Iran war has triggered fierce backlash from prominent Trump allies and Iran hawks, who warn the proposed terms are dangerously weak. The deal, reported by Axios, would halt Iran’s nuclear enrichment for 10 to 20 years in exchange for eased U.S. sanctions and return of frozen assets, with both sides relaxing Strait of Hormuz blockades during a 30-day negotiation window.
Fox News broadcaster Mark Levin called the deal “disastrous,” while conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt demanded stricter terms, insisting: “President Trump never gives up leverage. Why would he start now with Iran on the ropes?”
