Jonathan Andic, son and heir of Mango fashion chain founder Isak Andic, has been arrested in Catalonia on suspicion of his father’s homicide following the billionaire’s fatal fall during a 2024 hiking trip.
Catalan police have arrested Jonathan Andic, the son of Mango fashion chain founder Isak Andic, in connection with the death of his father, who fell 100 metres while hiking in Montserrat near Barcelona in 2024.
“I can confirm the detention of Jonathan Andic on suspicion of the homicide of his father, Isak Andic,” a spokesman for the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan regional police, said in a statement on Tuesday.
Jonathan, who was hiking with his father at the time of the fatal fall and subsequently inherited his fortune, is expected to appear in court at Martorell.
Isak Andic, who founded Mango in 1984, was 71 at the time of his death and ranked among Spain’s wealthiest individuals, with an estimated net worth of $4.5 billion.
