Israeli outlet reports that the Mossad allegedly sat on a compromising 2011 photo of senior Iranian official Rostam Qasemi for more than a decade — before leaking it during the height of the 2022 Mahsa Amini protests.
The image reportedly showed Qasemi embracing a woman without a hijab during a trip to Malaysia, sparking outrage online and accusations of hypocrisy as Iran cracked down on anti-hijab demonstrators.
According to JFeed, the leak was part of a new Mossad psychological operations strategy focused on destabilising Iranian leadership through embarrassment rather than assassinations. Qasemi resigned days later.
