Most-wanted former RAF member Klette convicted over armed robberies

According to Sahara Reporters, a German court has sentenced former Red Army Faction militant Daniela Klette to 13 years in prison after convicting her over a series of armed robberies carried out between 1999 and 2016. The 67-year-old was once among Germany’s most wanted fugitives, living under a false identity in Berlin for nearly two decades before her arrest in 2024.

Prosecutors said she and two other ex-RAF members robbed cash transport vehicles and supermarkets, stealing over €2 million. Authorities also recovered weapons, forged documents, cash and other items from her apartment. During a heavily guarded trial, she was found guilty of multiple aggravated robberies and illegal weapons possession. Klette, however, denied the charges and called the trial politically motivated, maintaining her opposition to capitalism and the state system.
