Bondi refuses to answer lawmakers’ questions about Trump’s involvement in Epstein files release

Former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has landed in the hot seat on Capitol Hill, refusing to answer pointed questions about Donald Trump’s alleged involvement in the handling of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, according to AP News

During a closed-door House Oversight Committee session, Bondi defended the Justice Department’s release of Epstein documents, saying the process was overseen by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and carried out with transparency. But she repeatedly declined to address whether Trump had any knowledge of or influence on the file redactions.

Lawmakers, especially Democrats, slammed her responses, calling the interview evasive and accusing her of dodging accountability.

Survivors of Epstein’s abuse were also present outside the Capitol, demanding full disclosure and justice as scrutiny over the case intensifies. The committee is expected to release a transcript of the testimony soon.
