Bondi relocates to military base after cartel threats, Epstein case backlash

Attorney General Pam Bondi has quietly relocated to a military base in the Washington area after facing threats from drug cartels and critics of her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, according to people familiar with the situation. One catalyst was an increase in threats following the capture and prosecution of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in January, a senior official said. Bondi joins other Trump administration officials who have moved into heavily guarded quarters at military facilities near the capital after citing danger from criminals, overseas adversaries and protesters.
