CUBA COMPLETELY RUNS OUT OF FUEL…

Cuba has completely exhausted its diesel and fuel oil stocks, plunging Havana into up to 22 hours of daily blackouts as the country’s energy minister blamed a U.S. oil embargo imposed in January.

According to UPI, Cuban Energy Minister Vincente de la O Levy has declared that the country has completely run out of fuel, leaving the national grid on life support amid crippling blackouts.

“We have absolutely no diesel,” O Levy said, adding: “In Havana, the blackouts now exceed 20-22 hours [per day]. The situation is very tense, it’s becoming hotter.”

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel blamed Washington, writing on X: “This dramatic worsening has a single cause: the genocidal energy blockade to which the United States subjects our country, threatening irrational tariffs against any nation that supplies us with fuel.”

The U.S. State Department countered that Cuba had rejected repeated private offers of $100 million in humanitarian assistance. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla denied knowledge of the offer, calling it a “fable” and a “$100 million lie.”

UPI noted that President Trump resumed tightening the six-decade-old embargo in January after cutting off Cuba’s main oil supply from Venezuela.
