According to TMZ, officers were called to a home in Kissimmee on Sunday after the toddler was found with a gunshot wound; he was later pronounced dead at the hospital, just days before his third birthday. Osceola County Sheriff Chris Blackmon said the children were alone in a car when the four-year-old grabbed the gun, which was “literally in the open,” while adults stood outside and heard the fatal shot. The family, on vacation from Georgia, was staying at a rental home. Sheriff Blackmon said criminal charges will likely follow once the investigation concludes.
