An inquest has revealed that a Warrington woman was killed by her father in Texas following a heated political argument and a tragic firearm accident involving a handgun.
A 23-year-old British woman, Lucy Harrison, was fatally shot in the chest by her father during a visit to his Texas home, an inquest has heard. The incident occurred following a “big argument” regarding Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration. Harrison’s boyfriend testified that she grew upset when her father, who had reportedly relapsed into alcohol use, discussed gun ownership.
Kris Harrison, who was not indicted by a Texas grand jury, claimed the shooting was an accident while showing her a handgun. He stated, “As I lifted the gun to show her I suddenly heard a loud bang.” Meanwhile, Lucy’s mother described the fashion buyer as a “real force of life” who was deeply passionate about her beliefs and debates.
