Melinda French Gates says those named in the Epstein files, including Bill Gates, must answer lingering questions, while distancing herself from the controversy and expressing sympathy for victims.
Melinda French Gates says references to her ex-husband Bill Gates in newly released Epstein files have resurfaced painful memories and raised questions for those named. Speaking in a promo for NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast, she emphasized accountability for interactions with Jeffrey Epstein and expressed deep sympathy for alleged victims.
“Whatever questions remain there I can’t even begin to know all of it those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband, they need to answer to those things. Not me.” A Gates spokesperson dismissed new claims as “absolutely absurd and completely false,” calling them defamatory.
