Nvidia and Corning partner to expand fiber optic manufacturing for AI infrastructure

Nvidia and Corning have partnered to dramatically scale U.S. fiber optic manufacturing, with Corning set to build three new facilities to meet surging AI infrastructure demand.

Nvidia has formed a strategic partnership with glass and optical technology giant Corning to significantly expand fiber optic manufacturing capacity across the United States, targeting the growing infrastructure demands of artificial intelligence.

Under the agreement, Corning will increase its U.S.-based optical connectivity manufacturing capacity tenfold while expanding domestic fiber production by more than 50%. To support the scale-up, the company will construct three new manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas.

The partnership signals Nvidia’s deepening commitment to building out the physical infrastructure underpinning AI systems, moving beyond chips into the connectivity networks that link them.
