Russia just put out a statement basically admitting something big went down:
“We hope that the United States and Israel will preserve the security of the Bushehr nuclear power plant.”
No direct mention of attacks, but coming right after reports of massive Israeli/US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, this is Moscow quietly confirming the hits while trying to de-escalate.
Bushehr is Iran’s only operating nuclear power reactor (Russian-built, ironically).
If it got damaged or threatened, we’d be looking at Chernobyl-level fallout risks.
Putin playing both sides: backing Tehran rhetorically but signaling “don’t go too far” to Washington/Jerusalem.
