Donald Trump has said the US doesn’t need aircraft carriers from the UK. It comes as the UK prepares a carrier for possible deployment to the Middle East.
Donald Trump has posted a message for Sir Keir Starmer on his Truth Social account.
He says the UK is “finally giving serious thought” to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East, but appears to decline the offer.
“We don’t need them any longer,” he says.
“We don’t need people that join wars after we’ve already won!”
