Trump’s State Dept. will include president’s face in new passports for America250

The State Department is launching limited-edition commemorative passports this July as part of a broader suite of “America250” celebrations that include high-profile sporting events in the nation’s capital.

As part of the Trump administration’s “America250” anniversary festivities, the State Department is set to release a limited-edition commemorative US passport featuring customized artwork and enhanced imagery. State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott confirmed that the new design which includes an American flag on the back cover centered between 13 stars from the 1777-version of the flag will be available this July for any citizen applying through the Washington Passport Agency, pending availability. Pigott emphasized that while the documents celebrate the historic milestone alongside events like a Grand Prix on the National Mall and a UFC fight on the White House South Lawn, they will continue “maintaining the same security features that make the US Passport the most secure documents in the world.”
