Britain’s culture secretary has signalled she is likely to intervene in Paramount Skydance’s $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery over media plurality concerns, CNN reports.

UK Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said Tuesday she is “minded to intervene” in Paramount’s bid for CNN, HBO and other Warner Bros. Discovery assets, citing concerns over media diversity. The companies have a week to respond before any formal decision.
If Nandy proceeds, media regulator Ofcom would assess the deal alongside an ongoing Competition and Markets Authority probe. Paramount said it remains “confident” the deal poses no plurality issues in the UK and expects completion by the third quarter, having already cleared regulatory hurdles in the US and other countries.
