The UK has updated its Immigration Rules, confirming that nationals from over 100 countries — including Nigeria, India, and Pakistan — need a visa for stays under six months.
UK Confirms Full Visa List for Short Stays
No visa-free pass for these travelers. According to Punch Newspapers, the UK’s Home Office updated its Immigration Rules Appendix Visitor on July 1, confirming that citizens of more than 100 countries must secure entry clearance before visiting for under six months.
The list spans across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America — including Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and Ukraine. Stateless persons and anyone traveling on non-standard documents also need clearance, unless the document was UK-issued.
Special exemptions apply to some Chinese and Taiwanese nationals, as flagged by an asterisk in the updated rules, with specifics detailed elsewhere in the appendix.
