A New York court has sentenced Felix Rojas to five years in prison for sexually abusing the corpse of Jorge Gonzalez, who died unresponsive on a Manhattan subway train in 2025.
A grim subway case has reached its end. A New York court has handed Felix Rojas, 44, a five-year prison term for sexually abusing the body of Jorge Gonzalez, 37, who’d died after losing consciousness on a Manhattan R train, Punch reports, citing Sky News Australia. Surveillance footage caught Rojas targeting Gonzalez once he noticed him unresponsive — even rifling through his pockets.
The Brooklyn resident turned himself in three weeks later after spotting his own image in police-released footage, though he initially denied the act. Beyond the jail time, Rojas faces 15 years of supervised release. Gonzalez, remembered by family as a devoted father, had spent nearly two decades in the US supporting loved ones back in Mexico.
