US-Israel war on Iran has cost Pentagon $29 Billion, officials say

The US-Israeli war on Iran has cost Washington approximately $29 billion, a $4 billion jump from estimates released just weeks ago.

According to the Middle East Monitor, the cost of the US-Israeli war on Iran has climbed to approximately $29 billion, up $4 billion from figures announced in late April. US Assistant Defence Secretary for Financial Affairs Jules Hurst III disclosed the figure on Tuesday during a House Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on the Pentagon’s 2027 fiscal year budget request.

Hurst told members of Congress the cost had “reached about $29 billion” since the United States joined Israel in military operations against Iran. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine also attended the session.

Hegseth confirmed the US had plans for further escalation if necessary, while also outlining options for withdrawal and repositioning of military assets, signalling Washington is weighing its next moves in the region.
