The FBI has arrested Herbert Leon Kimble in the Philippines over an alleged $1.2 billion Medicare fraud scheme that targeted thousands of elderly beneficiaries.
The run is over for Herbert Leon Kimble. The 60-year-old fugitive, wanted for an alleged $1.2 billion Medicare fraud conspiracy, has been captured by the FBI in the Philippines.
According to Peoples Gazette, Kimble had been on the run since 2024, landing him a spot on the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudsters List. His scheme allegedly hit thousands of Medicare beneficiaries — many of them elderly — between 2014 and 2019.
Acting AG Todd Blanche made it clear: running doesn’t mean escaping justice. Kimble is now back in US custody.
FBI Director Kash Patel called it the second arrest from the new most-wanted list in just two weeks. A $150,000 reward had been on the table for his capture.
