Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William McCasland, a former UFO expert, seeking home security footage from hundreds of residents amid fears for his safety and national security.
Authorities in New Mexico have contacted over 600 residents to collect home security footage in the ongoing search for retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland, 68, who vanished from his Albuquerque home on Feb. 27.
Investigators, working alongside the FBI, have received numerous tips, but “to date, no sightings have been reported,” according to a police spokesperson. McCasland left his phone behind, prompting a Silver Alert for the former general.
McCasland, an astronautical engineer and former head of research at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, oversaw classified space weapons programs and has been involved with UFO research.
Journalist Ross Coulthart called the disappearance a “grave national security crisis,” noting McCasland possesses sensitive knowledge about U.S. defense programs and potential extraterrestrial information.
His wife, Susan McCasland Wilkerson, stressed that he was not disoriented and has no special knowledge of Roswell debris, urging the public to aid authorities in the search.
