Iran responds to ceasefire proposal as drones target Gulf Nations

Iran has submitted a counter-proposal to U.S. ceasefire terms via Pakistani mediators, seeking a permanent end to the war while simultaneously placing its nuclear sites on “full readiness” amid fresh drone attacks in the Gulf.

Iran has submitted a formal response to the latest U.S. ceasefire proposal through Pakistani mediators, according to HUFFPOST. While Tehran seeks a permanent end to the war across all fronts, including Lebanon, the White House remains skeptical. President Donald Trump accused Tehran on social media of “playing games” for decades, warns, “They will be laughing no longer!”

The diplomatic effort coincides with escalating hostilities. The UAE reported intercepting two drones, while a ship off Qatar was ignited by a drone strike. Despite the friction, U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz stated Washington is giving diplomacy “every chance we possibly can.”

Sticking points remain Iran’s nuclear program and the blocked Strait of Hormuz. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told CBS that the war isn’t over until enriched uranium is removed, noting, “Trump has said to me, ‘I want to go in there.’” Meanwhile, Iranian Brig. Gen. Akrami Nia confirmed forces are on “full readiness” to defend nuclear sites.
