The Supreme Court has not yet ruled on Trump’s bid to limit birthright citizenship, leaving the high-stakes case in limbo as the term nears its end.
The wait continues on one of the term’s biggest immigration cases.
The Supreme Court did not rule on June 25 in the case challenging Trump’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship, Yahoo reports.
Signed after Trump’s 2025 inauguration, the order directs federal agencies to stop recognising automatic US citizenship for babies born in America if neither parent is a citizen or lawful permanent resident.
The case was argued back in April and remains one of the final decisions still pending before the court closes out its term.
The justices say more rulings are coming Monday, June 29 — but haven’t confirmed whether this case will be among them.
