Russia says it intercepted two British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles after Ukraine used them in a strike on a facility in Bryansk that left six civilians dead.
Russia said its air defences shot down two British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles within the past 24 hours, according to the country’s defence ministry. The statement came after Ukraine said it used the long-range missiles to strike a facility producing missile components in the Russian city of Bryansk.
Authorities in the Bryansk Region said the attack killed six civilians and injured 42 others. In a separate development, Russia’s defence ministry also reported that its forces had captured the settlement of Chervona Zoria in Ukraine’s Sumy Region.
