Ukraine attack ‘largest in over a year’ on Moscow, Russian state media reports

Ukraine launched a major drone attack on Moscow, killing three and escalating tensions after deadly strikes on Kyiv.

At least three people have been killed following a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow and surrounding areas, according to CNN World.
Russian officials said more than 500 drones were launched overnight, with air defences intercepting hundreds. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed fatalities in Khimki and Mytishchi, while several others were injured, including workers at an oil refinery.

The attack, described as the “largest in over a year,” also caused damage to residential buildings and disrupted operations at Sheremetyevo Airport.
Ukraine’s Security Service said the strikes targeted key infrastructure, including oil facilities and a semiconductor plant linked to Russia’s military industry.

The escalation follows recent Russian strikes on Kyiv that killed at least 25 people.
“The one-way ticket to a peaceful life in Patriarchy and the surrounding areas has been canceled.”
