The White House has reportedly halted the release of an intelligence bulletin warning US law enforcement of increased terror threats linked to the ongoing Iran conflict.
The White House has reportedly blocked a planned intelligence bulletin warning US law enforcement about a rising homeland terror threat linked to the ongoing war with Iran. The joint report was prepared by the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Counterterrorism Center to alert authorities nationwide.
According to officials, the five-page bulletin warned of “elevated threats by the government of Iran to US military and government personnel and facilities, Jewish and Israeli institutions and their perceived supporters.” It also cautioned that “radicalized individuals with a variety of ideological backgrounds also may see this conflict… as a justification for violence.”
A White House spokesperson said the administration was reviewing the information before release. “The White House is coordinating closely with all government agencies to ensure information being disseminated is accurate, up to date, and has been properly vetted,” Abigail Jackson said, while officials warned the delay could hinder timely security alerts.
