Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has died at the age of 41 following a sudden hospitalization for a severe illness. The devastating news was confirmed on Thursday in a joint statement issued by his family, Richard Childress Racing, and NASCAR. Busch became unresponsive on Wednesday while testing in a Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord, North Carolina, and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Charlotte, where he later passed away.
The tragic loss occurred just hours after his family announced he would miss this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 due to his condition. Busch leaves behind an unmatched racing legacy, holding the all-time record with 234 combined victories across NASCAR’s three national series.
